Chem-8 is a great silicone lubricant where sophisticated chemicalsare packaged, or where corrosion or rusting is a problem. It isespecially suitable for mechanical instruments such as hinges whererepeated autoclaving is re Use Chem-8 to lubricateconnections on water systems such as hoses, faucets, nozzles,sinks, pressure washers.
CHEM-8 is an engineered silicone lubricant & thread sealant for usein water and vapor applications that do not require the use of anoxygen-safe product. Chem-8 is recommended for aluminum againstaluminum surfaces but it is not recommended for alkali, fluorine orHF environments.
Works particularly well as a thread sealant for high-pressuregases (except fluorine and oxygen).
Ideal pipe joint sealer for aqueous systems like water systems,steam lines, and acids (except HF and alkali).
